Abstract

In data transmission apparatus comprising at least one transmitter (1) and one or more receivers (2), at least one of the receivers can be physically associated with the transmitter, the arrangement being such that the apparatus can be used in applications requiring the remote understanding of messages directed exclusively to a designated user and with maximum safety of reception, to the exclusion of any other user included in a large number of potential receivers. The transmitter can selectively enable the receiver and the receiver can selectively disable the transmitter using a different code. <IMAGE>
