Abstract

A resilient mounting has a cylindrical outer metal component (1, 2), consisting of two half shells, surrounding an inner metal component 3 of elongate cross section, for example a rectangular cross section, having outwardly bulging longer sides. Elastomeric components (7, 8) bonded both to the bulging faces (5) of the inner component (3) and to the radially inner faces of the half shells (1, 2) are compressed as the two half shells are compressed together on assembly of the mounting. <IMAGE>
