Abstract

A device for the attachment of an elongate member, particularly a pipe, has an open-ended cylindrical support member (2) and a cylindrical sliding member (9) which is insertable into the support member. The elongate member is attached to a flange (10) on the sliding member. A bearing insert (6, 7) is fixed to the support member or the sliding member, and is composed of a bearing material e.g. polypropylene which reduces noise between the two members. Two of the supporting fixture bodies, each of which contains a sliding member, may be arranged side-by-side. The body of the supporting fixture can be constructed in the form of a roller, which acts in conjunction with a recessed roller track in the mounting arrangement. <IMAGE>
