A wrap around back boiler for an open fireplace, has a combustion zone defined by a vertically disposed back panel (2) interconnecting side panels (1), and has one or more vertically disposed flues (9) located directly above the combustion zone, the flues being defined by panels (4, 6) which bridge the side panels (1) of the boiler. <IMAGE>
