Abstract

A steering apparatus, more particularly for motor boats, comprises a device for converting rotational movement of a shaft 15 or a shaft 17 into linear movement of a driven member connected to a shaft 16. The shafts 15, 17 carry pinions 18, 19 which may be selectively engaged by a pinion 20 on shaft 16 on axial movement of the pinion 20 by means of an arm 23 controlled by a wire 24. <IMAGE>
