Abstract

The rear roller of two rollers located respectively near the front and back of a sole plate attached or attachable to a shoe is mounted on a fixed horizontal axis, whereas the front roller is mounted so as to swivel on a vertical pivot. A spring tends to keep the front roller parallel to the rear roller. The front roller, furthermore, is equipped with a free-wheeling antireverse- rotation mechanism. The rear roller can be conveniently equipped with a brake operable by tipping up the toe of the skate.
