Abstract

A support aid comprises a frame 1 arranged to be fixed to a vertical surface 3 and to a horizontal supporting surface 5, and an elongate support member 6 pivotably mounted on the frame 1 so as to be movable between a first horizontal position, in which the support aid may be used to provide support to an elderly or infirmed person, and a second generally vertical position for convenience when not in use. <IMAGE>
