201,794. Freeth, F. A., and Munro, L. A. Sept. 2, 1922. Electrolytes.-An alkaline accumulator of the nickel-iron type is provided with an electrolyte consisting of or containing an alkaline silicate such as sodium or potassium silicates or mixtures thereof. Caustic soda or potash may be added to the electrolyte. The silicate solution may be in the form of a jelly.
