Abstract
A process for making a catalyst for polymerising 1-olefins comprises supporting a chromium compound on a support material comprising 1.0 to 90 weight percent of boron phosphate and at least 10% percent of silica, alumina, zirconia, or thoria and heat activating. The catalyst is preferably used for polymerising ethylene or copolymerising ethylene with other 1-olefins or diolefins.
