Abstract

An electronic component insertion system includes magazines for delivering a plurality of electronic components to a component holding board 20 having through holes with leaf springs. The components are allowed to fall into insertion guides 30 positioned above a printed circuit board 41 supported on a board 42. The electronic components are mounted on the printed circuit board using rods 40 which move the components downwardly through the insertion guides simultaneously, a clinching device 50 moves upwardly and effects insertion of a plurality of electronic components on the printed circuit board simultaneously. Different component holding boards 20 are used for different insertion patterns of the printed circuit boards. <IMAGE>
