Abstract

201,691. Jopson, W. G. May 25, 1922. Securing labels. - A luggage label is attached to an article by a string passing through two or more holes in the label, metal reinforcing bars preventing the string from tearing out the edges of the holes. The string is looped through the holes a, b, c and the bars 27, 28 traverse the loops as shown. The bars 27, 28 are preferably made of flat strips of metal, the ends of which are passed through the label and turned down. The bars may cross each other, or may be connected so as to form one piece by a strip passing along the edge of the label and protecting the hole a.
