Abstract

An attachment to provide lower temperature settings for an existing thermostat (1) and comprises electrical resistance heating elements (R1, R2) for heating the thermostat such that it senses a temperature which is higher than that of the ambient air. The resistances are energiseable singly or together depending on the temperature setting required and are supported in a housing (5) comprising flexible side walls (6, 7) each with a projection (9, 10), adapted for snap-engagement with openings (2) in the housing of the thermostat (1), for mounting the attachment to the thermostat. <IMAGE>
