Abstract

A traction member can be attached to the skin of a person's limb via an attachment device comprising a tubular bandage. The bandage is formed from an extensible openwork material which is of low extensibility and high strength in the longitudinal direction thereof. The bandage is secured in position around the person's limb by means of adhesive applied between the inner surface of the bandage and the person's skin. The traction member is secured to one end of the bandage.
