Abstract
Equipment for laying a layer of elongate material, e.g. wire mesh adjacent to a newly exposed rock or mineral surface in an underground mine which is formed by a mining machine cutter as the machine traverses along a working face comprising a support bracket (4) secured to the mining machine (23) and defining slideway (9) along which a slide member (10) can slide in a direction transverse to the direction of machine traverse, the slide member being provided with support arm means (19, 20) for supporting a coil (27) of elongate material. <IMAGE>
