Abstract

A trenching apparatus for use in burying a pipeline or cable comprises a series of bucket-like scoops arranged in the form of an endless device, e.g. bucket wheels 2, 3 and drive means for moving the bucket- like scoops to excavate a trench as the apparatus is moved. Preferably at least two such endless devices are provided and arranged to produce a V-shaped trench, the endless devices operating in planes which are angled with respect to each other to form said trench. <IMAGE>
