Abstract

A kite is formed from a sheet supported by elongated support members. The support members comprise a central support member (2) extending in the normal direction of forward flight, and two edge support members (3) which are connected to the leading end of the central support member and extend with a rearward inclination along leading edges of the sheet (1). The sheet is free to deflect upwardly in flight between the central support member and at least trailing end portions of the edge support members so that the performance of the kite can simulate that of a hang glider. <IMAGE>
