Abstract

An orthopaedic device for the relief of arthritic pain comprises a hollowed member of biocompatible material to project through the cortical bone shell to allow pressure equalisation therethrough while preventing sealing of the hollow by bone growth. The member is suitably in the form of a longitudinally bored bolt. <IMAGE>
