Abstract

The apparatus comprises a Ferris- wheel kind of structure rotating through a wash-liquid tank into which the lower half of wheel is received. The wheel has means for lodging articles in positions radially spaced from and concentric with a shaft (7) on which the wheel rotates to rotate the articles through the tank and thus wash them. The tank houses a heater (34) and ultrasonic transducers (31,33) to assist cleaning; and a recirculation of wash liquid through a filter (21) is effected by means of scoops (17) which raise liquid from the tank and decant it into a collector (18) when at position (D). <IMAGE>
