Abstract

A resilient butt contact comprises two contact members (9, 10), at least one of which provides or supports a contact surface (12); the two members are assembled together in a manner allowing limited relative movement with the two members in continuous contact (as at 13), such movement having a component normal to the (or each) contact surface (12); and biassing means (14) acts between the two members in the direction tending to move the contact surface (12) (or each contact surface) relative to the other member in the outward direction. <IMAGE>
