Abstract

In a withdrawable switch for high currents, a pair of rotatable shutter panels 26 are provided which, according to their angular mutual positions, allow or prevent access to the fixed terminals 5, 6 of the switch. In the withdrawn position shown the movable section 2 of the switch has its isolating contacts 12, 13 separated from fixed terminal contacts 5, 6 by the panels 26 which are moved about parallel axes 25 to lie between contacts 12, 13 when the section 2 is moved to its connected position. <IMAGE>
