Abstract

A moulded plastics case for measuring instruments, comprising a box-like body defining the side walls (2-5) of the case, a removable backplate (6), a bezel (13) securable to the front of the body to hold a window (12), and a scale plate (15) which can be inserted or extracted parallel to the backplate through a slot (14) in one wall (2) of the body, characterised in that the body is in one piece and has a step (18) in the side walls adjacent the slotted wall (2) and at the same level as the slot, to form a first rest for the scale plate, and the body has at least one flap (22,23) secured to a side wall, the flap extending into the interior of the body and forming a second rest for the scale plate opposite that defined by the step. Flaps (22,23) extend from a triangular wall (19) across one corner of the body. A resilient plug (17) retains the scale plate. <IMAGE>
