Abstract

A mechanical gear shift device for change-speed gearboxes for engaging and disengaging the drive clutches of the gearbox includes a shift bar (5) mounted for longitudinal movement in the gearbox and having a shift fork (11), push rods (1) and shift rockers (2) connected thereto. The push rods are of rectangular cross-section and are guided by rounded ends (21) of the shift bar and spherical pins (22) of the shift rockers and by guide members (3) supported on the shift bar guided on the gearbox casing (4). The shift bar (5) and the push rods (1) lie one above the other transversely and parallel to the gearbox shaft (6). <IMAGE>
