Abstract

A high chair and a braking mechanism 40 for use on a childs high chair 1. The locking mechanism includes a braking component pivoted to the supporting frame 20 of the childs dining chair, for pivoting between a first position and a second position. The locking component contacts against the ground to raise the supporting frame and separate the wheels 30 from the ground as the braking component is forced to pivot to the first position, so as to implement a function of immobilising the chair. As the braking component pivots to the second position, the braking component is separated from the ground, so that the wheel contacts against the ground, so as to implement a function of releasing the wheel. The childs dining chair can be pushed to move as the wheel contacts the ground. The childs dining chair is east to operate and has a simple structure and high security.
