Abstract

A portable unit for use in creating animal cubicles in an existing building comprises a precast base 1, and a partition 6,7,8,9 substantially centrally positioned along the width of the base and substantially perpendicular thereto. The partition extends longitudinally of the base and is raised from the floor of the base to enable an animal in the assembled cubicles to lie down with his legs under the partition. A plurality of these units are assembled side by side with their partitions parallel to form a cubicle between each pair of partitions. End units having no partition may be placed at each end of the row to create a cubicle between the end partitions and an adjacent wall in each case. <IMAGE>
