Abstract

An electrical device, e.g. an electrically-powered gas meter, has its measurement information components divided into two parts, one RL1 which is de-energised in the event of failure of the main power supply B1, and the other RL2 which is maintained energised by a standby battery B2. In the case of a gas meter, RL2 comprises a memory circuit and a liquid crystal display in which the metered quantity is stored and displayed and RL1 comprises a counter. <IMAGE>
