Abstract

A door frame assembly having an inner portion 16 and an outer portion 28 of a door frame, each portion comprising two spaced parallel door jamb strips and a header strip, adjacent ends of the portions being joined by a tongue and groove interconnection and retained together by an adhesive 40, e.g. a foamed polyurethane. Each portion includes architraves 15 and portion 16 carries a plunger 42. The door can be pre- assembled to one of the portions. <IMAGE>
