A body harness for carrying a camera assembly in front of the cameraman, has an upper part 18 for engagement of the shoulders and upper back, interconnected with a lower part 19 engaging the hips. The harness places most of the vertical load on the hips and most of the horizontal load on the shoulders and upper back. <IMAGE>
