Abstract
A piezo-electric resonator unit includes a piezoelectric resonator element (1) mounted on a metal dividing wall (4) sealed in a metal casing (3). The element is connected through the wall (4) to circuit components (8) contained in a sealed cavity formed within a layer of potting compound (9). The wall (4) provides electromagnetic screening between the resonator element and the circuit components. The latter may include temperature-compensating and frequency-adjusting components. <IMAGE>
