Abstract

A method of producing a plurality of bags from a single sheet of nylon or other tough synthetic or natural material which has been woven in a single continuous process to provide two layers (1, 2) joined at regular intervals across the sheet by parallel bands (3) and optionally at regular intervals in the longitudinal direction of the sheet by parallel bands (6), comprises either cutting the sheet along the centre lines (5) of the bands (3) to form tubes which are subsequently cut into lengths and closed at one end or, when the bands (6) are provided, cutting the sheet along both lines (5) and lines (8) and (9) to form a plurality of bags each having one open end. <IMAGE>
