Abstract

An apparatus for cleaning a floor surface including a rotatable member for engaging the floor surface, a motor for effecting rotation of the rotatable member, a power supply for providing an electrical power supply to the motor, and a support member for supporting the motor, wherein the apparatus includes one or more of the following: (a) the power supply is supported independently of the support member; (b) the support member is connected to the power supply such that relative movement therebetween is permitted; (c) the power supply is not supported on or by the support member; and/or (d) the power supply is supported on at least one ground engaging member which permits the power supply to move, in use, over the floor surface.
