Abstract
There is described a method of imaging a fluorescent sample, the method comprising: exposing the sample to a optical speckle pattern so that the speckle pattern is imprinted on the sample; and imaging the sample, wherein the optical speckle pattern imprinted on the sample produces fluorescent speckles which can be used as fiduciary marks in imaging the sample. Also described is an apparatus for imaging a fluorescent sample using the above method.
