Abstract

There is provided a display device and electrical connector system comprising a display device and an electrical connector, wherein the display device is operable to receive the electrical connector and to form an electrical connection between the device and the electrical connector, wherein the display device includes a socket operable to receive the electrical connector, wherein the socket is operable to receive the electrical connector in only two configurations comprising a first configuration and a second configuration different to the first configuration, wherein the second configuration is a 180 degree rotation of the connector around an axis parallel to a direction of insertion of the connector into the socket relative to the first configuration, and wherein the electrical connection between the device and the connector is the same for the first configuration and the second configuration.
