Abstract

The neck 10 of a container is screw-threaded and is provided with at least one lug (or fin) 13 beneath the screw thread 12, and a closure cap 1 comprises a top and a screw-threaded depending skirt provided with one or more fins (or lugs) 4 adapted to engage the lug(s) (or fin(s)) on the container neck, the skirt being deformable by radial pressure at positions spaced from the fin(s) (or lug(s)) to increase the diameter of the skirt in the region of the fin(s) (or lug(s)) to disengage the fin(s) (or lug(s)) on the skirt from the lugs(s) (or fins(s)) on the container neck for removal of the cap. In a modification both the container neck and the closure cap are provided with fins which mesh with one another, upon unscrewing, unless the skirt of the cap is deformed, as before. <IMAGE>
