Abstract

A protective garment, such as a welding suit 1, which is made of a synthetic plastics material. The garment is at least partially provided with a covering layer 9 of a material (e.g. neoprene) substantially unaffected by sparks and molten metal, which layer is of substantially the same elasticity as the synthetic plastics material. <IMAGE>
