Abstract

A flanged coupling for joining two ducts (1) in two halves each half comprising four hollow frame members (6, 7, 8, 9) into each of which may be inserted a free edge of one of the duct side walls, having flanges (18, 19) and a rear wall (20) formed with a nose (23) and angle brackets (10, 11, 12, 13), legs of which are insertable in the ends of the hollow frame members, each leg having a Z- shaped cross-section for a better connection with the frame members. A packing (31) further improves this connection. The two halves of the coupling may be joined by a sliding strip (24) and/or screws through holes (14, 15, 16, 17) in the angle brackets. <IMAGE>
