Abstract

A wind turbine comprises a wind rotor 2 driving a generator through a gearbox a clutch and shafts for the generation of electricity. An electric motor 4 may drive either a fast or a slow shaft at times of no wind to maintain system rpm and allegedly guarantee production independently of the wind supply. When the wind picks up again the motor may disconnect from the generator or reverse polarity to generate electricity.
