Abstract

A decorative article comprises at least one layer of leaf material 2 embedded together with at least one fibrous reinforcing layer 4 in a translucent synthetic resin matrix 1,3,5. A method of manufacturing such an article comprises successively applying to a mould the five layers, followed by causing or allowing the resin to set. The leaf material may be green or dried tobacco or banana leaves. <IMAGE>
