201,029. Farrar, J., Whitehead, A. R., and Lepine, L. J. July 15, 1922. Circulating or passing liquids through materials. -The mechanism for driving the propellers that circulate the liquor in a dyeing machine, is enclosed within a casing adapted to be bolted to the upper part of the vat. Thus, the electric motor E is bolted to a casing F enclosing the pinions D, d and in which the bearings of the propeller shafts c are mounted; the shafts are provided with suitable packings to prevent the ingress of steam and the escape of oil. There may be separate motors for each shaft, and the shafts may be driven by mechanical power. A division board b is placed between each pair of propellers to prevent mutual disturbance.
