A steam generation unit comprising a heat exchange duct for the passage of hot gas therethrough; a heat exchange array located within the heat exchange duct, the heat exchange array comprising at least one helically coiled tube, a feedwater inlet to the heat exchange array, a steam outlet from the heat exchange array.
