Abstract

A rectangular tray is made from a folded blank of stiff material in which the flat blank is first folded to form a rectangular tube and then opposing portions (20/22) of one wall of the tube are infolded to provide a) a pair of opposing side walls (20) for a tray and b) a central bridge piece (19) which connects the other two side walls (11). The bridge piece resists outward bulging of the connected side walls (11), retains and protects the tray contents, and may be used as a handle for carrying the tray. <IMAGE>
