Abstract

A method of retaining a steel jacket structure on the sea bed in which at least one leg 10a of the structure is surrounded by a flexible impermeable membrane 20 which is filled with a mixture of water and particulate material and which is then drained to form a heavy coherent body of material 18, 32, retaining said leg in position on the sea bed. <IMAGE>
