Abstract

Compounds of formula (II): <IMAGE> where R is hydrogen, a salt-forming ion or a pharmaceutically acceptable ester-forming radical, provided that R is not a group of formula -(CH2)8CO2H, possess antibacterial activity and antimycoplasmal activity and are therefore of value in the treatment of human and veterinary bacterial and mycoplasmal infections.
