Abstract

A semi-continuous process for cold drawing small diameter metal tube comprises cold drawing an externally lubricated tube through a drawing die, the tube being drawn through the die onto a coiling drum. The tube may be drawn to its final dimensions in several passes using a floating plug to size the bore; the plug may be omitted on the final pass.
