Abstract

A write head, for an electrostatic printer, of the type comprising a plurality of write electrodes which are subdivided into groups and in which the corresponding write electrodes of the groups are interconnected. The write head (1) comprises an electrically-insulating plate (35) provided on each side with parallel printed conductor traces (37) which extend to an edge of the plate to form electrodes. At least one further insulating plate (39) is secured parallel to the first plate (35) and carries on its side remote from the first plate, printed conductor tracks (43) which extend transverse to the tracks (37) on the first plate and are selectively electrically-connected thereto by means of plated-through holes (45) in the further plate (39). <IMAGE>
