Abstract

A machine for removing the rind of cheeses, comprising a table 3 for transporting a cheese through the machine, wherein over the table horizontal flexible shafts 5 with cutter heads have been provided. The shafts are biased toward the cheese surface and the flexing is controlled by pivotable supporting arms, which at the same time serve for biasing the cutter heads. Lateral vertical shafts with cutter heads are provided for the lateral cheese surfaces. <IMAGE>
