Abstract

Apparatus for use in the attitudinal presentation of heavy elongate workpieces for the carrying out of working operations thereon, said apparatus comprising two similar circular frames 10 to be positioned in spaced and parallel relationship. Each frame 10 has spaced supports (14, 15) rooted to its inside, the supports extending towards but stopping short of the frame axis, and mounts clamping screws 17, 18 adjustable into clamping engagement with a workpiece 9 extending between and through the frames. Each frame is in two parts 11, 11A to enable the workpiece to be positioned on one part and the second part then to be located thereover and secured to the first part. Two similar stands 22 are provided, one to support each frame, each stand having rollers 23 to engage the outside surface of the frame whereby a workpiece can be rotated about a stationary axis. <IMAGE>
