Abstract

A method of and means for monitoring seam formation in a multi- thread sewing machine is disclosed wherein the length of upper thread (M2) used in producing a seam is monitored in relation to the length of the seam (M 1) and is compared with the length of thread required to produce that seam in an evaluating unit (AE), and deviation from a norm is caused to actuate an indicator. <IMAGE>
