Abstract

In a coming and going method of book making, a book block is formed by bringing together four (or more) batches of signatures each containing a quarter (or correspondingly less) of the pages of a book, a set of the batches collectively containing all the pages. In the case where a two-book block is formed from four batches of two different kinds A,A, B,B, the batches are advanced along four feed paths I-IV and one of each kind A,B, is reoriented at 13 before being turned on edge at 15 and bound. <IMAGE>
