Abstract

Theft of components of a vehicle, eg a motor bike, is indicated by monitoring the impedance of the circuits of the vehicle in which the components are connected. A quiescent current is passed through normally closed vehicle circuits connected at A and a monitoring arrangement consisting of the transistors VT1 and VT2 responds to an increase in impedance when circuits A open and to a decrease in impedance in vehicle circuits B and C to operate an alarm relay RLA. Alternatively, a transistor switching circuit can replace the relay RLA. <IMAGE>
