Abstract

An electro-acoustic terminal unit for use in an audio teleconferencing system comprises a loudspeaker 10 and one or more microphones 12, 14 each having a sensitivity which is directionally dependent and exhibits at least one null or substantially null position. The loudspeaker 10 and microphones 12, 14 are rigidly mounted on a boom 11 and the microphones 12, 14 are so located and orientated relative to the loudspeaker 10 that the null position is directed towards the loudspeaker 10. <IMAGE>
